Popronde
Popronde is a traveling free festival in holland. Its goal is to promote young bands and artists, give them a stage to play. Enschede is one of the cities included in the Popronde scheme. When Popronde comes to town, many disco, pubs, clubs and stages bring live music. Even if they usually don't have live music! It is a good chance to see upcoming groups.

Green Vibrations is an open, unique festival organised for and by music lovers at the green Twente University Campus. The programme is just as diverse as its audience. Impossible to define and every edition is part of one big green picture. The festival features various areas, each with its own unique flavour of music, ambiance and décor. More than half of the artists performing at the festival are local talents, making it one of the biggest platforms for local talent and the music scene from the city of Enschede. The genres vary from Techno, Psy-trance and House to Reggae, Rock, Indie, Bass Music, Sing-a-Song writers to Folk.

Booster is a networking, workshop and showcase festival. During the day there are many events for people in the music industry, artists, bookers, labels andso. In the evening it all turns into an exciting free festival for everyone. On several venues in the city upcomming bands, djs, and other artists are put into the spotlights. There is no specific genre but it tends to be progressive.

On thursdays in july and august the Summer Sounds brings a series of musical events on the Old Market Square. Since every night hast its own unique theme everybody will find someting of its taste. The series kicks off with Bolke Open Air presenting djs, gogo dancers and glamorous entertainment. The weeks following the stage is reserverd for a blues night, rock night, salsa dancing and an evening with many dutch artists.

One of the Netherlands’ biggest dance festivals takes place during the Pentecost weekend. From a one day dance-event Freshtival steadily grew into a weekend of music and camping in Enschede’s Het Rutbeek recreational park. A quality line-up with known names and upcomming stars make sure the partypeople enjoy the eccentricity and diversity of the festival.
