Popronde
Popronde is a traveling free festival in holland. Its goal is to promote young bands and artists, give them a stage to play. Enschede is one of the cities included in the Popronde scheme. When Popronde comes to town, many disco, pubs, clubs and stages bring live music. Even if they usually don't have live music! It is a good chance to see upcoming groups.
Geuzenpop
Geuzenpop is a music festival at the Rutbeek area. On two stages you can see a dozen of bands in various genres. Beside the main program there is a dance tent, relax lounge and a kids playground.
Zoutpop
Zoutpop is a free festival in Boekelo, just outside enschede. It is a event for the whole family. Kids will enjoy the playground, one can buy or sell at the fair, there are stands showing peoples hobby's. And there is a lot of live music.
Jazz Festival
The International Jazz Festival Enschede is a free festival. Main aspect of the festival is the Dutch Big Band Contest, in which dutch big bands compete. A divers side-event offers many artist, both talents and well-known musicians
